Once the tree is gone, it can pose a safety risk to your home and neighbor’s property. AAA Tree removal Nassau Service can help you if you have significant damage to your yard and your house due to branches or fallen trees. We’ll help you clean up, remove dangerous or fallen trees, or assist with emergency tarp installations.
Are there any signs your tree might be dying? What are the signs? What should you do if your tree has fallen?
Is My Tree Still Alive?
The simple answer to this question is yes. Although it may appear dead, it could still be alive. Perhaps a small section of the tree is still alive, but only a few branches are affected.
Is there fungus near the tree’s base?
Be sure to know exactly what you’re looking for. Moss is not a problem in many cases. Andersen describes Lichen as a mixture of moss and fungi. It is an indicator that a tree has stopped growing, but it is not necessarily a sign that it is dead.
Are roots visible along the ground’s surface?
Trees that grow along the soil surface rather than in the ground can indicate trouble with the land management. Although the tree is not in immediate danger, it could indicate that the tree’s root system is shallow and more vulnerable to damage from weather, animals, and humans. This could make the tree unattractive and cause it to be removed.
Is there any green beneath the bark?
Sometimes, a tree might appear to be dying but could actually be preparing for extreme weather. How do you know if your tree has died or gone dormant. The easiest way to tell if your tree is dead or alive is the scratch test.
Are there signs that the tree is stressed?
Shoots are small branches that grow near the trunk’s base from stressed trees. They can be a sign that something is not right with the tree.
When is it appropriate to cut down a dead tree?
A tree that is already in decline does not necessarily need to be cut down immediately. It could take many years for a dying tree to completely die. However, they can still be strong even if they are sick or damaged.
It could cause damage to your home.
Robertson recommends that you remove any tree that is in danger of being struck by a falling object.
Robertson states, “My job is take care the residence — the house — and at the same time take good care of the tree.”
But, just because a tree is near a structure is not a sign that it poses a threat to the structure, it does not necessarily mean it is dangerous. It may be too late to remove the tree.
Robertson states, “If I know that a tree is still living and has a bud at its end, I don’t want to chop it down if it doesn’t have to.” Do you have to dispose of it if it is weighing down on the house or has only a few years remaining? It might not be. It will fall from your home. This is probably why I tell people to leave trees alone.
Are the trees structurally sound?
Trees can be hollow even if they are dead. It is possible for a tree to be structurally sound and hollow. Robertson suggests that trees that are more than 40% hollow may be a problem.
Robertson states that if there is more than 40% of that meat (and that’s what we refer to as the wood of a tree), it becomes a high-risk situation. It doesn’t necessarily mean it is dead. It could also indicate that there is a high risk of it falling.
